Beta-Mannanase is a specialized hydrolytic enzyme that breaks down β-mannans, a type of non-starch polysaccharide commonly found in plant-based raw materials such as soybean meal, palm kernel meal, guar meal, copra meal, and other agricultural feed ingredients. Widely used in animal feed and food industries to improve digestibility, reduce viscosity, and enhance nutrient utilization, it effectively minimizes the anti-nutritional effects of β-mannans.
Produced through controlled microbial fermentation using selected bacterial or fungal strains: Bacillus spp., Aspergillus spp., or Trichoderma species. Purified and standardized under controlled manufacturing conditions.
Heat-stable through pelleting, optimum activity in standard intestinal passage, and low dose requirements (200–500 g/ton).
Hydrolyzes β-1,4-mannosidic bonds in mannans, converts complex mannans into smaller mannooligosaccharides (MOS), and reduces intestinal viscosity caused by non-starch polysaccharides.
MOS acts as a natural prebiotic, supporting beneficial gut microflora, reducing pathogen colonization, and lowering overall digestive inflammation.
Improves digestibility of soybean meal and alternative plant meals, reduces anti-nutritional effects of β-mannans, enhances nutrient absorption and feed efficiency, supports better growth performance in poultry, swine, and aquaculture, and significantly improves the Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR).
